Summer is over and all the kids are back in school, but there is still plenty going on. Fall is a great time to get out and explore your local farms!

Farms like Baugher’s Orchard and Butler’s Orchard and Farm Market, which run u-pick operations through the spring and summer, pull out the stops and have special activities in the Fall. Some traditional farms such as North Run Farm, busy with farming through the year, open their doors and throw a Fall Festival. As an end-of-season bonus, some places such as Clark Elioak’s Farm and Winterbrook Farms break out the catapults and cannons for pumpkin chucking!

Days of operation vary as some farms are open 7 days and others are just open during the weekend. Check out list below for details. Festivities finish up by the beginning of November, so plan your adventures before it is all over.
