Irvine’s Summer Nature Camp offers
children an excellent opportunity to learn
about Maryland’s ecology and natural history
by exploring the woodlands, meadows,
wetlands and streams at Irvine as well as
other locations in Maryland.
Summer camp for 2010 will prove to be
an exciting season, as we have expanded
our camp to offer more sessions, multiweek
options, and before and after camp
care at our state-of-the-art green building
and 116 acres of land. Irvine has planned
43 sessions of day camps that feature small
group sizes and loads of fun.
New for 2010
• Multi-week camp options for
many age groups
• Extended days for most camps
• Before and after camp care
• Before camp care is offered to
all campers starting at 7:45 a.m.
• After camp care is offered to all
camps ending at 3:00 p.m.
or later and extending until 6:00 p.m.
• Expanded camp season: eleven weeks
from June 14th – August 27th
• Teen Adventure camp will offer 13 – 15
year olds an opportunity to paddle,
climb, and backpack
• Nature Explorers camp offers either a
Friday offsite excursion or a Thursday
night campout depending on which
session is signed up for.
Our camp is certified as a youth camp by
the State of Maryland. In addition, Irvine
camp staff is certified in CPR and first aid.
Group sizes are small with a camper to staff
ratio of at most 6:1.
