Worth it to become a Member!9/16/2010 "We've enjoyed this place so much over the years that we became members quite some time ago. It never disappoints (well, maybe the train ride is a little disappointing-the scenery out the window leaves a bit to be desired at times). The sounds effects that they added to one of the trains in the roundhouse is wonderful - my kids favorite spot to hang out and pretend they are actual engineers. The activities they offer at Christmastime are fun (model trains, visit Santa and/or Frosty, crafts) and the KidsFest in September (coming up this weekend - the 18th-19th) is fantastic...especially if you go when Milkshake is performing. When my kids were younger, we really enjoyed Toddler Time. If you do become a member, you get into the Ellicott City station as well and they have a beautiful model train display during the holidays. My kids love climbing aboard the caboose there as well as seeing the year round model train display that is indoors." |
