The Fire Museum of Maryland

The Fire Museum of Maryland houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of both antique and recent fire-fighting equipment in the world. We also have the largest horse-drawn and hand-drawn apparatus collection in the country, and we are the third largest fire museum in the world.

Fourty rigs are on display, and are complemented by a broad range of special exhibits, including one on the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. Children can get hands-on in the Discovery Room where they can dress up as fire fighters and sit behind the wheel of a 1938 Mack fire engine.
