Daggerwing Nature Center

Daggerwing Nature Center is set within South County Regional Park in western Boca Raton. Features include a BRAND NEW exhibit hall with LIVE ANIMALS and interactive state-of-the-art exhibits, classroom facilities, laboratory, lobby, reading area, and an elevated boardwalk which takes you through a swamp. The boardwalk has two trails, bench-style seating, as well as an observation tower available for you to view a variety of plant and animal life including: osprey, woodpeckers, butterflies, endangered wood storks, alligators, and the Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly.

Nature Center staff offer a variety of educational, interactive programs to people of all ages, such as school groups, camps, birthday parties, scout troops, adult groups, and social clubs. Our mission is to encourage an appreciation for our natural environment through education and demonstration, in an effort to inspire individuals to become personally involved in the conservation of south Florida’s natural resources.

DIRECTIONS:
Daggerwing Nature Center is located within South County Regional Park west of Boca Raton. From I-95 or the Turnpike, exit at Glades Road and head west, past U.S. Highway 441 to Cain Blvd., and turn right (north). The entrance to South County Regional Park is the first road on the left. Turn left and go straight at the stop sign into the Daggerwing Nature Center parking lot.
