Tekakwitha Woods Nature Center
The Tekakwitha Woods Nature Center offers fun learning experiences for all ages. There are two main exhibits highlighting the natural history of Illinois, with hands-on displays and activities throughout the building. District naturalists conduct programs at the Nature Center year round.
It is located in beautiful Tekakwitha Woods Forest Preserve, a 65-acre site with a network of foot trails that winds through the fields and forested ravines of the preserve.
The Nature Center is not only a destination, but a starting point for ongoing exploration of the natural world.
