The Outdoor Campus
The Outdoor Campus is an outdoor education center where visitors can get in touch with South Dakota’s outdoors. Visitors can tour a hands-on museum filled with South Dakota wildlife mounts and a 3,000 gallon “streambank” aquarium. They can also take a class in fishing, hunting, camping, snowshoeing and much more. Our 140-seat theatre hosts naturalist programs and nature videos on a regular basis. Hike along 2 miles of trails and take a class at our fishing pond. The Outdoor Campus sits in Sertoma Park, a science-themed park with playground equipment, whisper dishes and a human sun-dial.
