Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with CAPT. David Wong, MD, FAAP---Outbreaks, Chronic Disease, and Health Policy: Health Issues Affecting Asian Americans

Join us for a talk from our special guest speaker, CAPT. David Wong, MD, FAAP, Medical Officer with the Office of Minority Health and Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. David Wong will share his wealth of experience in U.S. Public Health Services and speak about topics relating to Asian-American health.

Dr. David Wong works on policy, advocacy, and research projects impacting minority health populations in the U.S. Current focus areas include sickle cell disease, hepatitis, workforce development, the opioid epidemic, and culturally and linguistically-appropriate services in healthcare. Previously, Dr. Wong worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Park Service, and the Indian Health Service.

Join us for this special health event to honor Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
