Lake Roland

The over 500 acre park, leased to Baltimore County, is a multi-faceted facility with numerous trails, nature and environmental programs, a dog park, pavilions, and waterfront activities, such as canoeing and kayaking for all to enjoy. It offers the opportunity for users to enjoy the rare plant life that exists only in the serpentine barrens.

Lake Roland offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year for youth and adults. Get detailed information from the Lake Roland Nature Council website.

Paw Point Dog Park

Paw Point is a fenced, one acre off leash dog park which is located within Lake Roland. The dog park is equipped with benches and bag dispensers for cleaning up dog waste. Membership allows two licensed/vaccinated dogs entry to the facility. More information about the dog park and membership forms can be found by visiting Paw Point. Patrons are reminded that when their dogs are not in the fenced in area of the dog park they must remain on a leash.

Canoeing and Kayaking

Canoeing and kayaking are allowed at Lake Roland. A permit is not required. All boaters must wear a life preserver at all times while on the water and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that trailers and sailboats are not allowed. Visitors boat at their own risk.
