James A. Michener Art Museum

The James A. Michener Art Museum is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and exhibiting the art and cultural heritage of the Bucks County region. The Museum is named for Doylestown's most famous son, the Pulitzer-Prize winning writer and supporter of the arts who had first dreamed of a regional art museum in the early 1960's.

The Museum offers Creative Arts Classes that inspire students to create original works of art in a variety of studio art, arts enrichment, interdisciplinary arts and gallery programs. From pre-kindergarten to adult students, studio classes and multicultural exploration, our Education Department offers a lifetime of learning opportunities.
