Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry and Technology

Welcome to CFMIT! We interpret a rich, varied history of manufacturing, processing and technology that began here in the 1840's and continues today. As we relate the story of industry, we teach about the area and its people. We have an extensive exhibit of the Cray Supercomputer collection along with exhibits from Mason Companies Inc, Darley, Great Northern Corporation, Leinenkugels Brewing Company and Hubbard Scientific, as well as a Toy Soldier collection from WWI. Bring the family and learn about the beginnings the supercomputer. See a size 28 shoe or logging boots with spikes to help the loggers stay on top. See what the pump looks like that makes a firetruck work. Find out about how Chippewa Falls makes corrugated containers and displays. See a model of the International Space Station. Generate electricity with one hand and much more.
